Happy Feet

I'm not really a fan of movies with talking animals but I enjoyed watching this film about penguins. It's about Mumble, a penguin who couldn't sing but dances well - more like tap dancing. Anyway the 'elder penguins' blames him to be the reason why they have fewer fish to eat. The movie's really funny. I love Mumble's five tiny penguin friends with the Spanish accent - one of which with Robin Williams as the voice over. I watched the last full show with MJ, Pam, Jas, Aji and Pete.

Oh and I saw the trailer of Order of the Phoenix. Nice. Can't wait for the movie.

I also bought a Batista tumbler. So cool!!!

Yael guest stars on ABS CBN's youth oriented show Let's Go. I found this clip a few hours ago, though i couldn't find the whole episode since I failed to watch it because of school. I just have to post this, nice scene.

My Name

What's with my name? A while ago - well technically yesterday since it's already 2:16am Sunday - I got the weirdest and, may I say, the most unforgettable comment about my name from a professor.

During the roll call

Prof. Al Dimalanta: Zaidee Berniss Mendiola

Sho: (raises his hand)

Prof. Dimalanta: (looks at Sho and again at the seat plan) Ssaai... Ssaaaisho?

Sho and some other classmates: (pronounces the name correctly)

Prof. Dimalanta: Your first name is Zaidee Berniss, and if that's not weird enough you chose Saisho as your nickname.

Sho: ...

(Classmates laughs)

(Sho laughs)

It's just funny. It was the weirdest comment about my name in my whole life - so far. During the first meeting, when he called my name and I raised my hand. He looked at me, perplexed, and asked me if it was me because he was expecting a girl. Ok, so I've been quite used to that comment.

But I really love my name. It's very unique. I can be the only Zaidee Berniss Samson Mendiola in the world - thanks to my Aunt Lilibeth who told my parents to change my name when they, my parents, decided to name me Cedric. LoL.

The amazing race Asia started. I think the host is quite boring. But anyway, I'm happy that the teams from the Philippines are competitive. Couple Ernie and Jeena got the 2nd place while Aubrey and Jacqueline got the 4th spot. They even helped each other. That's great. Anyway hope both teams go to the final three or four.

Last

School starts in a few days. This will be the last semester and after this I'd say goodbye to college - that is if I'll pass all my subjects, specifically the upcoming thesis defense. But I can say that I'm confident with my group. We may not be the best public speakers in the batch but the thing is that we really worked hard on our thesis. Plus, I can say that the three of us - MJ, Danna and me - have a good relationship, I really hope we get though this. We will be ready. We have each other's backs.

Last Thursday November 2, I got the chance to talk and have a little reunion with my high school friends. Feels good to be able to see and talk to them in flesh. They're still the same. Physically I can say that nothing changed with Janet, Arnie, Dana, and the rest. Some will graduate next year, others still in their 2nd year for some reasons. EJ's slimmer, and Karen too. Still have this little nonsense arguments with Czar. Really missed them.
