Need a Caffeine Fix

Thank God for YM I got to talk to my best freind for almost three hours yesterday during my seven hour break. I really miss her. Still have four years to wait to see her again in person.

First class starts in 30 moniutes, specifically 7pm. Now you can see how annoying my schedule is. On Monday and Wednesday I have 7am - 9pm, both with a 7 hours break. On Tuesdays I have 9am - 8:30pm with a 5 hours break. On Thursdays, which is today, class starts on 7pm and ends at 9pm. And on Fridays I have 7-11am. Really hate my schedule.

Anyway, I decided not to go to a dorm - for some reasons. But it's not final. Got this thing from Nanay Nona's Livejournal. It's so me.

Neverwhere

I'm currently re-reading Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere - since I didn't finished reading it the last time. It's really good. Great imagination. Very original. Quite scary.

So I still have 3 more hours to go util my next class starts. Sir Christian Esguerra is still my professor for Philippine Journalism History, my first day and my only subject where I'am an irreg for this semester.

Couldnt really do anything so I decided to write an entry. I'm currently at the UST Library, Hummanities section.

Weird but time seems faster today.

TV ads

We get to see them almost everyday if we're watching TV. TV ads can be really annoying sometimes, some are unique, some are so-so, others are weird.

But what made me talk about TV ads?

I just saw the latest Close-Up advertisement which features Sam Milby and the pretty Denise Laurel. Here's how it goes: Denise is in an audition for the Close-Up commercial where you'll just do your thing and try to impress the judges. But what denise did was actually quite stupid and funny, but she got the part because Sam was mesmerized by her smile - which is true, she looks really pretty with that smile.

Anyway, I always liked Close-Up and Nescafe ads. Every ad is new, romantic, and very fun to watch. And even rainy days looks fun when it's really not in reality.

I hate shampoo ads where girls goes frantic when they see theirselves in the mirror with a "bad hair", then with the help of the shampoo it suddenly turns super straight and the girls ends up saynig, "shinampoo ko lan yan".

Kakainis! LoL

Coffee and Headlights

(note: this was written when I was at the coffeshop after my OJT a few days ago)

time check: 7:22pm, June 13, 2006

Enjoying the splendid taste and aroma of Double Latte at Starbucks Megamall Bridegewayhas been my "habit" after my finishing my duty as an intern at the Makati City Hall Pressroom.

Latte, Double Latte or Quad latte with Irish Cream or Hazelnut, it actually depends on my mood and money. But I make sure that I'll go to this place at leats two or three times a week - usually on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

But what really draws me to this branch? Must be the cozy ambience - the fact that a few people goes here at 7pm onwards, or the nice baristas - a few who already knows me and knows what I'm going to drink. But the real reason is the knockout view outside of cars passing by - which are visible with their headlights.

Weird but I've always been attracted to this view eversince I first drank coffee at this branch 5 months ago, which I soon found out that the view is better at night. I just sit there, writing and listening to music, taking a glance outside everytime my hand stops moving the pen on the paper, watching the car headlights in pair s as they come and go. And finally for the first time, I get to sit near the window. View is much better here.

With this luck sitting in this chair, I tried to capture the scene. Ok, I know it's weird staring at those lights, but it somehow gives me some kind of sooothing feeling. I don't care if I stay at this place until 9pm. But trust me, it's really something worth while. It's just so easy to love this place.

At long last

I finally got the chance to update my blog after a month!!

So I finished my OJT two weeks ago, Friday June 2. I had a blast!! Really enjoyed it! I met some of the greatest and nicest reporters: sir lito, ma'am tarra, hannah, jo, rho, and of course sir ashzel.

After going there 5 days in a week for a month, I'm sure I'll miss the people makati pressroom. They've been nothing but nice to me... to the iterns. They're great.

School starts on Wednesday. And I hate my schedule!!!
I have 7 hours break on Monday, Wednesday and Friday!!!

WHAT THE HELL AM I GOING TO DO IN UST FOR 7 HOURS?!?!

Anyway, Mom is considering to rent a dorm with my schedule. And I think I really need one this semester.

That's it for now.

Pictures galore in the next post!! LoL

And also some of the things I wrote while chillin at Starbucks megamall.
