Random thoughts

Now I think I can say that I’m 75% sure that I will graduate in March. Thank God I passed Literary Criticism or else I would be worrying where I could take the course again for 2nd semester. I got a 3 from Ms. Rivera and I really don’t care as long as I passed. >evil laugh<

Inkblots was fine, I think it was better than last year. Better speakers that is. I was with Pam, Jasmine and Jade A.K.A. The Hot League (don’t even ask me why).

I bought a new book, ‘At First Sight’ by Nicholas Sparks which is actually the sequel of his novel ‘ True Believer’. I bought the book for P210 at Book Sale. Haven’t finished reading yet because of my koreanovela marathons – bought some pirated DVDs of the koreanovelas that I like. I want a new phone.

Have my eyes on Sony Ericsson w900i.

I got to watch Christain Bautista at Megamall last Friday after I got my clearance. He was promoting his album. I’m a big fan. I finally saw him in flesh, never thought that he’s so skinny. Payat talaga – look who’s talking.

Halfway there

It's official, 1st semester is over at long last. This was the HARDEST sem ever. AT last I can sleep properly. I want to sleep. I need to sleep. One last sem to go and I'm done with school. Creepy.

Just hope that we'll pass Literary Criticism. With that heroic 9 hour finals exam, the longest, hardest and mind-challenging exam in my whole life. I wanted to shout at our prof, Ms. Cynthia Rivera, and remind her that: "we're NOT literature majors for heaven's sake!"

It was harder than the UP and Ateneo entrance exam.

Ok, so I'm exaggerating.

I have nothing planned for the sem break. Will be joining Inkblots, the journalism fellowship, again. Aside from that, I'll just be watching endless movies and koreanovelas. Pretty exciting eh?

What can I do? I'm broke from all those stupid projects. Luckily my mom allowed me to join Inkblots.

Chillax

I want to spend a day at Megamall. Alone. Just walk around like I used to do, read books at Powerbooks, check some albums at Tower Records, play a couple of games at Time Zone, look at the latest gadgets at the Cyber Zone, and of course drink cooffee at my favorite STarbucks branch, SM Megamall Bridgeway - it's been months since I last drank coffee at that place. Miss the view.

Paranormal

Anyway, I have to say something about our Documentary which was about paranormal things in UST. So one night we went to this rumored "haunted" girls restroom 4th floor of the main building to take some fotages and re-enact some of the ghost stories. It was fun. And there was this Science prof who caught us and told the security guards what we were doing and such, she even asked us our school. Duh, doesn't she know the uniforms of the other colleges in UST. So stupid. LoL. Weird science people.

Dyan Banda

Band on the Run ended. Unfortunately I failed to see how the show ended, if they ever found "B" or what. Anyway, a new show was replaced called "Dyan Banda" and this time it stars the wacky band of Kamikazee. It's very funny. Nice. Cool.

Latest MV of Hale called Waltz. Love the video, nice song. So sad. I wanna buy Hale and Sponge Cola's latest album but I'm broke - thanks to our school projects. Grrr.

Anyway we, me and my sportsjourn groupmates, practically spend the whole day at the editing shop for our Sports mag show. An hour cost P400, and we were there from 8:30am until 2am, got home at 4:30am. It cost so much. But the outcome was good. We got a high grade at least, haven't seen the individual grades though.

So better prepare our pockets for our documentary. Profs are extra demanding this sem.

Can you imagine, it's hell week again. First semester will officially end in a week.

Noypi

A pinoy was casted as one of the 5 TJ in Discovery Travel and Living's cool show called "5 Takes". Astig.

He's Zach Yonzon. 32 years old. Writer, artist and EIC of Mango comics. Cool. looking forward for the show, hopefully I'll get a chance to catch it on TV. LoL.

Victory party

Since the Tigers bagged the UAAP championship, a free concert was held in front of the UST main building yesterday. Among the bands were Parokya ni Edgar, Join the Club, Soapdish and Kamikazee. We, 4 Journ 2, almost missed the fireworks display thanks to our kill joy taxation professor who told us that he would dismiss the class early but didn't. Anyway, the party was ok. The scene was like UST's paskuhan.

I take back what I said about Norman Black, from what I read in the newspaper this morning, he seems to be cool with the Tigers winning. I just misunderstood whatever I saw in the news yesterday. Peace.

So at the party, the player were all around, with girls swarming around them for pictures and autographs. Some even asks for the numbers of the players. There's this girl who gave Allera her phone and said: "Lagay mo naman number mo, pati yung kay Japs." Weird.

With the players scattered everywhere we took the chance to interview them for our Sports Journ Mag show. And I volunteered to do the interview since nobody in my group want to do the part. I interviewed Vizcarra, Espiritu, Allera, Taylor Evanglesita, Cuan and Cruz. All an ambush interview, but they were kind enough to let us talk to them. Girls were giving me dark stares because Macy, the one taking the video, and I were taking their time for picture taking and such.

*ok so I coulnd't post the other pics for some reason. Grr.

Go USTe

The underdogs won. The UST Growling Tigers defeated no. 1 team the Ateneo Blue Eagles in an OT victory 76-74 for the UAAP men's basketball chmapionship.

Feels so great that the Tigers won. They deserve the championship. The team was ignored, nobody expected them to win over the favored Eagles. I remember saying that I wouldn't mind if the Eagles would get the championship and that the Tigers being part of the Finals is great. But the Tigers winning the trophy is far better.

Waiting in line from 7am-12noon just to get tickets was so worth it. I had managed to watch all 3 games, I wouldn't forgive myself if I missed game 3.

Here's a rundown of the finals:
Game 1 - Eagles won by one point. Thanks Kramer's 1 second shot.
Game 2 - Tigers buried the game with 87-71. Eat that.
Game 3 - Tigers bagged the championship. 76-74 OT victory.

Game 3 was so exciting, we were losing hope in the last two minutes of the 4th quarter with Jervy Cruz and Evangelista out of the game with 5 fouls, but the remaining players still managed to defeat the Eagles. Good thing Intal missed his last shot. This is our year.

So proud to be a Thomasian.

One thing I didn't like was what Norman Black did, when the game was over he walked out. Such a sport. And yesterday he flew to America, woulnd't care less.

Kudos to rookie Coach Pido Jarencio for leading the team to the gold.

Go USTe!!

Having problems posting the pics. I'll upload them later. Back to work.
