Virgin, Starbucks, and McDonalds

It was a night to relax. To just enjoy and forget all those deadlines, quizes, and school stuffs.
To have fun with your friends and dance all night long, watch the pre-pageant of Mr. and Ms. Journalism and laugh how the contestants of the lower years make a fool out of themselves at the talent portion - if you can call it talent at all. It was not the best but it was our last.

After dancing at Virgin, we, Mj, May, Julai, Vanessa and I, went to Starbucks Tomas Morato as planned at about 1am. Talking, laughing and stuff. We luckily found a cool spot near the entrance because people at the 2nd level are all so quiet with their laptops and books. Anyway, Peter, Aji and some others followed and we eneded up staying there until 3am. Our plan to go to Pier1 was cancelled, too bad I've been craving to have a 'sex on the beach' or 'zombie', and i eneded up drinking two double irish cream latte.

I was talking to my friends when somebody called me, it was Dennis, a high school friend. He didn't really change, still looks the same.

Anyway we went to McDonald after, the nearest 24hours restaurant. And what's weird was in Quezon City people are not allowed to buy liquor from 2-8am. Weird.

I can say I had a great time. I was with my friends and just enjoy. Pictures coming up.

Sports Update

Callalily

Loving Callalily's debut single "Stars" from the album DestinationXYZ. Song's good. LoL. Oh and also the song "Alive" by Frio, new band too.

Vamonos Glenda

Kudos to bagyong Glenda classes were suspended for two days. So I have nothing to do but watch TV and listen to music or have my usual movie marathons.

I took two old issues of Meg from my sister's room and after reading the article "Revenge of the Nerd" in the December 2002 issue, I searched for John Mayer's Room for Square album in my CD case. The article was about Mayer and I just suddenly loved his songs again.

In the article he was talking about his songs and what drove him to write them. He explains that "Love Song For No One" was actually him talking.

I remember Mj and I singing that song a year ago and agreeing that it was the song for ourselves - well of course now that she have Jeff the song doesn't apply to her anymore. LoL

Who Am I?

Mayer said that he was the weird kid back in high school, that he didnt fit in and that was the reason he concentrated on playing the guitars.

I don't really know who I am in high school. I wear glasses and I'm thin but I'm not smart so I don't think I qualify as a nerd. I'm not anti-social, I have friends though I can be a snob. I don't think I belong to the PNB boys (Patay Na Bata), ok I'm a bit shy but I just know and I don't want to be part of that group.

Well ok I can be geeky. I'm a video game geek. ARRGGH. I don't know and I don't think it really matters.

Now in college, I think my classmates sees me as the vain, snobbish and somewhat sarcastic rich boy - which I'm not.

I asked 15 schoolmates and friends to describe me in 3 words or so in my planner and here are their answers:

MJ - vain, flamboyant, skeletal (she has her own meaning for flamboyant, its her term for guys who are touchy.)
Jasmine - burgis, sweet, payatot
Julai - payat, rich-burgis, nanlilibre
Danna - high standard, sosyal, super selan (No idea why she wrote that)
Lee - vain, mataray (minsan), tall and thin
Yoj - coffee, espejo, uber nice (espejo is the spanish name for mirror)
May - generous, good listener, thin
Pam - bumbilya, mukhang underweight, banidoso
Pete - stick figure with glasses, humble rich person, narcissist
Kishy - poem partner, starbucks, vain
Yuan - mataba, masarap kausap sa umaga, hindi nako-conscious, hindi madaldal, pandak, thrifty
Nizzi - director, vain, bookish (they say I look like Direk Lauren Dyogi)
Cha - vain, lakas lumamon, poutty chinny, josh santana... oops groban pala, sooper tangkad, ice cream
Ryan - bait, sama, ok lang (kainis no)
Hazel - ok kakuchaba, ma-alaska, gumagawa ng bagong chika, mahilig manukso

10 out of 15 said I'm vain or banidoso. What's wrong with checking yourself in the mirror from time to time right?

ok ok, so I was called "unethical" twice by Sir Mabahague 2 years ago because he caught me looking at the mirror during class. LoL.

Weird

I was watching Channel News Asia last Tuesday night and I saw this news about Japan's $30 worth curry bath which is said to rejuvenate one's skin. Eew. And this guy even said that it smells yummy and spicy. YUCK!!! So freakin weird. I would never take a dip in a pool with curry sauce in it.

Band on the run

I really love watching reality shows, and I'm loving this new show on Myx which is "Band On The Run". Well, its about this indie band called "The Bloomfields", the 5 member group is in search of this girl named "B" - for Bianca. The band gets clues where "B" is located - who seems to plan to travel the Philippines - those clues are sent via MMS by "B" herself and the band just goes to the same place hoping to see "B". You can't really learn anything from the show, just five friend having a great time traveling.

My sister says the show is sooooo corny. But I like it.

the Beatles inspired indie group, The Bloomfields

Speaking of reality shows, there's this show on ABC5 that I also love watching, "The Misadventure of Maverick and Ariel". Sadly, the show's finished and the duo now has their new show called "Totoo TV" - which I can't watch because I'm still in school when it airs on TV. If you can't learn anything in "Band On The Run", mas walang kwenta tong isa. LoL. The duo just video tapes, uhmm, their day to day life. Doing stupid things and going to places, with the special appearance of Ariel's mataray Mom, Mommy Elvy.

My Dad hates this show. But I don't care. It's fun!!

Sinong di mababaliw sa ulan...

You know how the rain looks so romantic in movies, books, ads and songs. Lovers running in the rain, or sharing a kiss, or just anything. Just add the rain and it turns out so damn romantic, when in real life its really not - well, in my case that is.

Class were suspended for two days thanks to Bagyong Florita, but at least I got to rest and watch two episode of 'My Girl' - yeah I watch that koreanovela.

Anyway I had my usual movie marathon yesterday. Watched Scary Movie 2, Resident Evil, I love Huck A Bees and Masahista. I have to say that indie films are really good, have a solid story. Though Masahista has some really disgusting scenes, it looks like the Pinoy version of Brokeback.

Sports Update

PBA - Game 4 goes to the Giants!! Yay!! Go Purefoods!!!

James Yap got the MVP award for the season, Kris Aquino was watching with a demure smile on her face accompanied by Lucy Torres. In his thank you speech, James said thanks to his "wife", which is of course the taklesa queen, she was trying so hard not to look so happy. - funny scene.

UAAP games were cancelled yesterday, again, kudos to Florita.

That's it. Got nothing else to say... I need my doublr irish cream latte before my brain starts to work.

You are 60% Aries

How Aries Are You?
You Are 61% Vain
You're a little vain, but you also work hard for your good looks.Just remember, everyone knows you are a total hottie. You don't have to remind them.
How Vain Are You?
You Are Emerald Green

Deep and mysterious, it often seems like no one truly gets you.Inside, you are very emotional and moody - though you don't let it show.People usually have a strong reaction to you... profound love or deep hate. But you can even get those who hate you to come around. There's something naturally harmonious about you.

What Color Green Are You?

Sports update

FIFA - Germany got the third place. The finale between Italy and France is next, I can't believe it will be over soon. Go ITALIA!!!

PBA - Game 2 goes to the Giants again. It's 2-0. Go PUREFOODS!!!

UAAP - UST Tigers and Tiger Cubs Basketball lost. We really suck at basketball.

In the juniors division, the Tiger Cubs lost to the Baby Falcons. Cubs jersey number 5 is good. He's small but the boy got potential.

In the seniors division, Tigers lost to the Up Fighting Maroons, 94-92. My favorite players: for the Fighting Maroons, Nestor David with jersey number 15 and Marvin Cruz with jersey number 9. For the Tigers it's Japs Cuan with jersey 18 and Dylan Ababou with jersey 6.

It was a fight against two rival schools - in terms of the cheerleading competition. But even though the Tigers lost, I enjoyed watching the game. Great game, very exciting. Marvin Cruz played so damn good.

Windy day

time check: 3:15pm, @ Starbucks Megamall Bridgeway, July 7, 2006

The forms for "Thomasian", the UST yearbook were distributed last Monday, and we, graduating AB students, were assigned to take our grad pic from July 10-31. And come to think of it we haven’t even started the data gathering for our thesis.

Know what, even though I don’t like to study, I don’t think I’m ready to leave the life of a student and go to the real world. A student’s life is fun. I mean the things you’ll ever worry about are: deadlines, quizzes, exams, projects, trying to save your allowance, thinking of convincing excuses to your parents so you can hang out with your friends… things like that. And now, the only thing I want is to pass all my subjects so I can graduate.

8 months and its all over. This is the last months I’ll be studying in my life – unless I decide to take a masters degree.

Gosh… after this I’m going to work. I’m gonna have my own money! >evil laugh<>

Anyway, got three articles to work on. Two is for the Journalese - one is about the importance of a masters degree and the other about plaigarism - and the other one is for my Historical Journalism article, I'm going to write about the history of Balaw Balaw, an exotic restaurant in Angono.

Weather's changing... just like my life which is about to change soon. Hope the remaining 8 months are enough to prepare myself for the real world.

Paris Hilton

I never liked paris Hilton, for me she's the totla biatch - if you've seen her MV Stars are blind you'll know why. And what's with that reggae thing? And what's worse is the song is making its way to the top of the radio hit charts - even Magic 89.9!!!

Mo and Mojo jojo, dj's of Magic, once made fun of the song. Mojo was sining the song but he changed the lyrics. He sings, "I have sex with all of the guys." Lol.

I really don't like her.

Sports Update

PBA - game 1 goes to Purefoods Chunkee Giants. Go Giants!!!

FIFA - it's Italy VS France in the finals. Go Italia!!!

Ok, I'm really not a sports fan but I just got the chance to watch the games. Plus watching sports will help me in my Sports Journalism subject.

Hate List

Yay. I finally added something to my hate list. I'll repost my hate list and add the new one.

1.Empoy – he’s the guy in the ‘Papa Cologne’ video of Parokya ni Edgar and also a cast in the sitcom ‘Bora’. I was watching Myx daily top ten and the song made it to top 7 I think. What makes me hate him is his stupid and manyak smile. Eew. Really disgusting. He’s not even funny.

2.Girls walking around the palengke wearing sleeveless top and a super short shorts or micro mini skirt, flipping their long straight rebonded hair, wearing red lipstick and all that make up, who combs their hair every 2 minutes. Duh. Can’t they wear something proper? So pok-pok!!! – I saw 5 girls while I’m eating at Jollibee with my sister.

3.Tambay wannabe rakista kids who thinks they’re cool because they smoke.

4.Someone you don’t know sending you a message, and when you ask who he or she is he or she replies with “Ay sorry wrong send, ginamit kasi ng friend ko yung phone ko. Anyway, may I know your name? Pwede makipagtextmate?” – I don’t need and I don’t want a textmate!!!!

5. The pouting expression or whatever-you-call-it that dancers do when. Hate it!

6. Gruesome and disgusting scene at MRT – 5pm onwards.

7. Irritating voice of Mike Enriquez.

8. MTV’s Wildboyz. Their show is 100% not funny and entertaining – for me. Weird that Kai and Dex loves the shows, laughing at their stupidity.

new entries:

9. Maarte girls who thinks they're so cute and tries to go out of trouble by saying sorry in a very sweet, innocent and irritating voice. grrr.. I'd cut those rebonded super straight hair!! There was this girl in LRT, anyway I won't tell the whole story, I might have accepted the apology if she didn't use that irritating tone.

10. The thing Enrico Villanueva, PBA Red Bull Player, does when he scores.

Few more hours until "Crunch Time"

I'm feeling lousy today. Though I don't know the reason why I feel this way. Weird.

Anyway, I tried typing my name on yahoo search bar and I got three results. LoL. They are links to some of my published articles on Malaya's website. Here's
one.

I remeber the episode in Samllville - which my sister made me watch- where Chloe got her internship at the Daily Planet. At the latter part of the episode, she proudly showed Clark and Lana her first published article which was on page 75 - I think - and got small treatment.

My sister told me that she just remebered this episode - she owns Smallville DVD of that season - when I got home one night and just excitedly showed her my first published article, supposed to be a ten paragraph article but was reduced to three. But nevertheless, I was so damn happy. She said that Chloe and I almost have the same reaction. LoL

I don't really have anything thing to say. I'm just so bored and reading the handouts just makes me sleepy.

My best friend is now also on blogspot. Yay.

organized chaos inside Angela's box.

Noypi

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao defeated Oscar "Chololo" Larios!! Yay!

Funny because not a single tricycle was on the road while the match is showed on air. And come to think that our house is just a few steps away from the Angono Market.

Anyway, I was taking notes as I watch the match. I can't help but curse everytime a player hits the other on the face. LoL.

So I think I'll be expecting more Manny Pacquiao TV ads. *sigh*

Pics galore!!

Getting my caffeine fix

Time check: 1:45pm @ Starbuck Megamall Bridgeway, June 30, 2006

Ok, so starting next week I should and I will wake up early, because Sir Esguerra told me, in a nice and joking way, “Uy ikaw ha lagi kang late.” Yikes. Must never be late again if I want to pass this subject. Talk about waking up when it’s still dark.

Mj, Yoj and Pete are now Malaya interns. Good for them, surely they would learn a lot. Mj and Yoj are under May’s former trainor, and Pete on the other hand is under Sir Ashzel – he’s lucky I tell you.

I haven’t told Sir Ashzel that I saw my evaluation sheet – actually Sir Jeh, HR of Malaya showed me and May our evaluation forms. We both got very high grades. To tell the truth I really don’t know if I deserve the grades Sir Ashzel gave me. Not that I’m complaining, I’m actually really happy with what I saw. All I can say is that I really worked hard on my OJT and he must’ve seen it – I actually lost 5 lbs. this summer, weird I know, to think that I’m already thin and losing that much is something right?

I’ll never get tired of saying that I really felt so damn lucky to have Sir Ashzel as my trainor. Working and learning a lot while at the same time enjoying what you’re doing.

I was elected as the new class treasurer. I really don’t like the responsibility but hey, at least I have something to add on my resume.

The Pacquiao VS. Larios is on Sunday and we were told by our Sports Journ Prof that we should watch the match and take notes for our activity next Friday.

Things

When I was in grade school I always wanted to be a Doctor – that’s when I realized that I can’t be one because I’m deadly afraid of injections and gets nauseous when I see blood. So then I decided to be a Magazine Editor, FHM to be specific – ask my high school classmates if you don’t believe me. But now after my OJT, I said goodbye to magazine and now plans to be a news writer after I graduate.

Funny how you learn or discover more about yourself as life goes. How you suddenly change your mind about something you really waned as you mature..

Know what I’m actually not the only one staring at the cars here at Starbucks Megamall Bridgeway, there are four more people blankly staring outside like me. See! I told you this view is really something. LoL.

Going back, well yeah… Its funny how people ends up to something without even knowing or thinking that they would end up there. Get what I mean? It’s vague, I know. Really can’t explain it well. For example, my sister always wanted to be an interior designer and I always thought that she will be one day, but she ends up studying to be a medical transcriptionsist and is taking up culinary arts after. Anyway, I’ll stop explaining now.

I’m about to finish my Double Irish Cream Latte. It never fails to make me feel good, washing all my stress and worries away. Weird how I get this effect when I drink coffee. And it somewhat gives me this urge to write. Things just start popping into my mind that I’m having a hard time explaining it thru writing.

I can see the clouds moving slowly… a plane flying… people walking… cars moving… and Mr. Security Guard standing still under the heat of the sun…

Don’t you just sometimes get that feeling that with all your problems, with your school works adding up that you just want to scream and give up, then realizing that your life is actually not that bad and there are people with worse problems than yours?

That’s how I feel right now.

All the school work – thesis, readings, papers – plus staying at school all day is just draining all my energy. Not to mention the 2 hours travel from our house to UST. It’s a wonder I’m still alive and that I’m just losing weight.

Life can really knock you out sometimes. I’ll just have to stay positive and just enjoy.

Ok, it’s so damn long now; don’t know if I’m still making sense.

Time check: 2:49pm
